The Boston Red Sox defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 8-1 at Fenway Park on Wednesday night to win the first game of the 2013 World Series. Boston also dominated the conversation on Facebook, generating over 5 million interactions from more than 2.6 million unique people on the social media platform.

The Red Sox out-buzzed the Cardinals 62% to 38% in terms of Facebook chatter, with men 25 to 34 doing most of the talking. Here are the Top 5 Demos Wednesday night:
